John, could you please tell us about the prep time for the latest ASIA summer tour starting soon, real soon.   And how it fits in with the prepping for Valkyrie.

Planting an early thought: Omaha, Omaha, Omaha, Omaha, Omaha, please Omaha!

Prep for next two shows--one long show(including acoustic section), and one short, festival set---
if everyone's done their homework, will be one day of full band rehearsal (GD and I have already done
2 days with Sam). We know what the set-list is, we have had time to become acquainted with that.
There are no N.American dates planned for ASIA this year, we will be in Europe, but next year, USA, Japan, Canada, and Central America will be covered. Agents are working as we speak, to coordinate
the logistics, and we will have a meeting with Martin in due course to cement the dates.
Valkyrie (that is the working title for the album, it may change)is being formulated all the time, in my head, and on GD's on-road computer. We can start any time, and will asap.
Valkyrie, the track, is ready to go----it may well be the first song to be recorded for the next chapter.

J, when you say long show do you mean longer than a normal ASIA show or longer than the festival set?

These are very good news! Unfortunatly I am missing the first long show , but I will be presenting at the second short one, festival set. If I remember well from the e-mail received Asia will be playing at 21.00 at Clumber Park (even if will have to be confirmed definitely).
Hope to be able to see Asia in my country this year!
Thanks for the update of Valkyrie!

It may be a gnat´s cock longer than our regular set, with two previously unperformed unplugged,
and we´re not exactly sure how long it´s going to be, but at the Stables, there´s no limit.

MK sounds like it is going to be fun, feels a bit like we are being treated to a tour preview.

not surprised, the plate looked pretty full already. Happy for the UK fans, they been very patient. Good luck on the dates of touring you do have. I will see you next year....hopefully. (If the good lords willing)

Great news ref open ended finishing time at the Stables ... I think all parties were frustrated and disappointed with the early curfew at Weyfest after the technial issues.

PS Thanks for the good wishes Brenda

Well I guess with no tour here in the US this year, I can get caught up on things and be ready to see you guys next year.
And to Sam, go knock em up with that guitar playing of yours.

Lots of info in post #2.  Thanks, John!    So I can keep my fingers crossed for Omaha down the road.  Gotcha.

But this -- hmmmm, with the wording, something to deeply ponder.

Smooth thinking MK -- John, I'll include a fine, nice juicy Omaha Steak when you arrive. Heck, I'd even Fed-X a case to your home, if it'll sway you guys my way. Healthy Heart - Cardio approved. MK will be your taste-tester. :-D
