Did you guys allow Sam C. to do a guitar solo during the shows last week? If so, what did he play?

Hi John,
I haven't been here in a while. Looks like I'm missing out on a 30th year Anniversary Box set? Anyone can point me in the direction of finding this, I'd be grateful.

But anyway, I have a silly question. I was in a nostalgic mood, listening to Alpha. I've always been curious about the background vocals on Never in a Million Years .... Someone hits a higher note in the chorus. Is that you?

Happy summer,
Firefly

Probably. On 'Alpha', most of the b/g vocals were done in Toronto, with just me and Mike.

Ah, very good. My German Shepherd is particularly fond of your high notes in that song. I should video tape it ... From a sound sleep, when the chorus starts her head sits up, ears erect and stares directly at the speakers.

It's Okay, you may giggle now

OK, all this Alpha talk has encouraged me to change my current iPod selection.

Ahh...

"Don't Cry" is now kicking off.

Allen, excellent!
You know, I bought newest iTouch recently and Alpha sounds really good on it, a little deeper over-all. The debut album is very rich, too.

John, If I'm correct, I notice Aug, Sept is the next big line up. Will there be any interviews or guest appearance, duets, anything to keep our eyes open for until then?  Don't wanna miss anything. I'm thinking this time will be used for "Valkyrie"

I always thought Alpha stood the test of time very well.  I know there was talk that John and the band were not happy with the production quality at the time, however the songs are very strong.  I sort of rediscovered it after "Then and Now" was released and enjoyed the second half more than when it was originally released.

As the singer of their only hit, have you been invited to this, John?

The much acclaimed Phenomena project is being re-assembled to make an appearance at Sweden Rock Festival 2014. Here's the lineup as it currently stands: Glenn Hughes - Vocals, Neil Murry - Bass, Bernie Marsden - Guitar, Martin Kronlund - Guitar, Perra Johansson - Drums, Ian Haugland - Drums. More guests will be announced shortly!
