OK, I'll not deny it any longer, folks.  I'm growing unhealthily addicted to the Phoenix samples.  "Heroine" is in my head today, I find myself humming it unconsciously and constantly (so lovely, Johan, truly...I hear harp effects or something, don't I..?)...tomorrow it will be a different Phoenix sample, as yesterday was "Never Again..."  I don't seem to choose them, they choose me...

They looked so harmless, so innocent there on the page....just clickme, clickme! Not so harmless, I say....but alas, it may be too late.

I'm now waiting to see which one decides to accompany me to the grocery store this evening....

I may need that intervention after all, and you've all been warned herewith, beware the samples! Will advise....owning one's addiction is the first step...

I've listened to all 12 samples and still I can't take it in samples,I'm ready to have it all in my car stereo so I can learn to sing the new songs.

Anyway there is a new Paulie comming to Dallas and Vegas shows.
My Avatar and myspace pictures say it all.

I Think I look HOT in these new digs.
By the way I'm going to a Russian Church next Sunday.
They have requested I come, but I've been a bit shy about it.

Anyway I hope some of you are doing OK.

Love & Peace

Paulie

Yes, I find myself constantly singing "Go seize the day, come what may..."  and on and on...  wait, isn't that another song on there?  On and On?  Oh heck... never again... I mean nevermind....   You see the tizzy these samples get you in????  And this is just from the initial four samples.  I ain't touchin the other samples, man.  They are definitely laced with some additive property and only full tracks can satisfy the craving!

Russian Church.... sound intriguing.  Definitely go!  Scope out the single ladies for me, k?

Pre-Phoenocation

The sampling of Phoenix sound bytes resulting in one's self entering into a heightened sense of anxiety in anticipating its eventual release.
  • Warning signs may including singing a chorus to only have the song end in a frustratingly quick fade.
  • General malaise and agitation if repeated listening of songs are not satisfied at least three times a day.
  • Carpal thumb syndrome, exacerbated by the repeated use of an iPod reel to replay said songs in their one to one and a half minute splendor.

Ha! JK!  That was great!  I am glad that we can put a name to this disease now!  My ugly brother has taken the Phoenix abstinence oath a step further.  He has heard Never Again but, he will not surf on the ASIA and related websites in fear that he might learn something to spoil the magic of it all.  He truly wants to experience ASIA like he did in 1982!

Paul, enjoy the Russian church.  It should be a good experience.  Make new friends and carpe diem!

I have the disease. But the doctor said that I'll be cured in April.

John is there any chance that Over and Over was recorded back in 1982-3?

Any chance we will ever get a then and now on the tune?
