Same here, though I have seen him solo several times over the years.

I have performed all of these live, except for "Rock of Faith'---which would be a challenge!

Daylight is referring to the day Grammy nominees are announced... 'Asia' was balloted in several categories... :-)

Don't hold your breath. In 1892, when, with the best-selling album of the year , we should have collected one , we didn't. So no chance this time.

John,

The very fact your band of bands is being nominated is quite an honor.  Having said that, you know far better than I do how much of it relies on politics.  Your first album should have netted many awards, but for the intelligentsia who control the process.  Look at how long Rush took to get into the HOF, and then explain why KC, Yes, and Deep Purple have not yet been admitted.

My first book, Nine from Aberdeen, is doing okay.  It helped me get my current job, and I have spoken before two assemblies, even dedicated a building!  However, there's always the politics!  Academics do not like wars, and so they do not like war stories.  I am still fighting for recognition within the historical community, and hoping for some positive reviews in the near future.

I am sure you saw my glowing review of Atlanta, but if not, I just wanted to say how much Jennifer and I loved your show.  Everyone is in fine form, and your collective showmanship is fantastic.  Jennifer has only been to one show (Rush 2002) and she favorably compared the experience.  I have a signed poster on my wall in the home office as testimony that I saw my favorite singer.

Take care,

JL

P.S.  My best to Sam -- I gave him a big shout-out at Atlanta!

all those award shows are a scam to real music.

only people winning those are those who kiss ass or are doing bad drugs with the record company CEO.

Another words ASIA didn't sell out to the evil monsters of the music industry.

Maybe a momentum to start working on a new Icon album? Would like that a lot!

P.s. on the mentioned live tracks, I was there at the Arkangel and Sinister tour in the Netherlands when tracks like Arkangel, Battle lines, Right where I wanted to be and The last thing on my mind were played. Great songs! Rock of Faith is my alltime JW favourite. Used that song asintro on our marriage several years ago. A haunting and beautifull track!

Would love to see some more Asia live DVDs BluRays & CDs
Can't get enough.
The orchestra one, Gravitas Tour and the XXX one from California.

John, see you in London on 1st March.
Looking forward to it.
How about suggesting to EJ you do a few tracks skipped from the last UK London show.

Night After Night
Time To Kill
Nothing To Lose

Just a thought. The circle would then be complete [smile]
Best wishes for 2015 [smile]

Roger Dean had mentioned six or seven months ago on his Facebook page that he had done artwork for the San Francisco show, so hopefully that show is coming soon.  There's also a great drawing of what I assume is the Asia dragon that I have not see posted before either on John's or Asia's website.
