peace Phan.

Jeff Beck, Montrose, Steve Morse, Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin, Trevor Rabin, to name a few. Hell, even Prince can JAM, as long as he is not singing, lol.  As you know, there are hundreds of people with Super human guitar skills.

Big B could play circles around Randy Rhodes
------------------------------------------
now,now,now... yes, he can, but if it wasn't guys like RANDY, EDWARD & SHAWN who came along in the late 70's/early 80s doing their trip, then guys like Bucket, VAI, YNGWIE,etc, etc wouldn't be doing what they are. Randy is a legend and sadly taken waayyyy too soon from us. If he lived who know man, who knows?

John: Mudbone along with Bootsy was/is part of the whole Parliament-Fundkedlic family, so needless to say the insanity of it all, must have had something to do with his name. I saw him in 1989 and in 2001 playing keys with JACK BRUCE and in 2004 with Buckethead, Brian and Les CLaypool. Brilliant!

Bucket is a show in himself, I myself am flabbergasted not just cause of his technique, but his live routine. He does a Nunchuck demonstration and then dances like a robot and passes out toys into the crowd and all the while B**** (I prefer to keep his personal life personal!) is sweating like a pig underneath that mask, bucket and JACKET! That thing is hot!!!! No wonder he's soooo skinny and lanky!!!

How he got the GunsNroses gig? That was quite weird. Axl wanted someone UNLIKE SLASH and well... lo and behold, Axl offered him the gig.

The best guitarist  I've ever seen is Buckethead.  The guy can cover an entire scale with one hand.  I've never seen another guitariast that can do that.... ever,.. ever...

LOL ... I was stunned to see this post! "Buckethead" is my cousin. Yeah, he's odd. And yeah, he's good. Extremely good.

He's touring the US west and midwest this spring and summer. Get to a show if you can!

OK.. I might have to start msg board stalking billy2112.. this is amazing news!

Hah! I am infactuated with B.

I even turned my father (old school gospel bluegrass guitar player guy) onto some of his music/techniques, and he ended up investigating/sending me some links of what he is actually doing on stage.

So cool to make a connection like that.. this is truly the uniting force for music that makes it such an important/magical/trascendending part of life.

I'm happy to hear B is gonna be back around.  I was actually faced with the daunting decision last time he was in Chicago to go see him or Asia (they were playing the same night, wTF?!?).

Of course I went to Asia, but I really miss that guy, and I'd love to see him again LIVE almost more than anyone.

Sam knows, when I go to see Big B, I wear my surgeons scrubs, replete with face mask.  It just seems fitting and it brings the eeriness to both sides of the stage.  I hope he appreciates that.

I can't wait to see him again, and I hope he is doing well.  I haven't seen him posting any Chicago dates yet??  But hopefully you can keep us posted billy...

Also, Sam.. I DO know he is doing 2 nights at Wakarusa.. you willing to go?  Because I'm completely in the van phan.

I guess another thing that fascinates me TW, is if you look at some of his mentors, such as Paul Gilbert or Satriani, or even any other players that can do similar things, they seem to strain and almost labor over those sort of solos.  In that clip, Buckethead is just floating effortlessly over the threads and staccatos as if he were cutting through warm butter.  He couldn't be more relaxed or make it look more effortless.  I'm been surrounded by excellent guitar players my entire life, and I can appreciate if you don't care for his particular style, but the guy definately has some prodigy-type skills.

Wow0.. I am totally exhausted and not sure I can even debate facts at this point.  Much credit give to both artists though for even being involved in this discussion.
