I'd buy a cd-single from Phoenix if it was released with some unreleased songs, or special remix versions or live tracks.
Any plans about it?

CD singles stopped selling in the Americas.  They haven't been selling the past few years.  Even import singles can be found in the bargain bin.

Yeah, is isn't practical to sell singles in the stores anymore, UNLIKE the late 80's- early nineties when they were kinda selling. If you want a single, your best bet is to Google sights on the web who will sell you single songs( or possibly "special" releases) from CD releases. They usually charge .99 for a song (as we all know), otherwise, I don't think there is any band doing that anymore ~ it's just not profitable.

the only singles that sell in the usa are cd singles of club remixes.
Stuff like Madonna,Britney & Rihanna, most of those are only available on iTunes, not an actual cd.

Nippur-----I suspect that Nippur is not your real name. Would I be correct?

I bought a USB turntable the other day and it came with an insert for 45s.

How quaint!

I performed a "product demonstration" to my 12-year old daughter the other day on how a turntable works.  I actually used the first Asia album on the demo.  She was completely amazed that the stylus actually picked up the analog sound by touching the record grooves.

She also laughed after I explained that if you wanted to listen to another song, you had to pick of the stylus arm and place it in the next groove, etc.

That's why were were all into albums back then vs. singles.  We were just too lazy to get up and change the record!
