My wife and I adopt a local family for Christmas rather than buy gifts for each other. The family (single mom and pregnant daughter) we drew this year is in a tough place -- evicted from their apartment for water damage and mold, they lost most many belongings and are stuck with a mold-infested mattress. Yesterday we bought them a new bed, and we'll deliver new clothing to them next week. Sharing a bit of the holiday with that family is an experience for which I'm deeply grateful to God.

Ah, Ivor, but, apparently, TRAFFIC LIKES YOU!  Happy Sunday...'hope traffic leaves you alone today.

RTC, how wonderful.  Sometimes the actions and feelings of the Christmas season are far more tangible and life-affirming than any prezzie could ever be, no?  Kudos to ya.

Excellent news!  I hope said silly hat had antlers. Just because....life's too short not to wear antlers every now and then.

Sadly no. The doghouse specter still lurks at birthdays and anniversaries, so I must remain on my guard.
