Mike that's a glass elevator that is attached to the GM Renaissance Center
and to the right of the stage which you can't see is the Detroit River with
Canada on the other side of course.
I think the crowd was quiet because it was all so relaxing and the music
was so awesome.  Most were speechless. Beautiful night.

btw, that's correct,Denise--not a bad video, but the venue (including W.Wanka's GM elevator) was spectacular.

I was watching that elevator during the show and thinking about my fear
of heights! It is cool. And I love Willy Wonka, both versions.
I am so happy that I found a video of that great show. It's a nice remembrance and I consider it one of my birthday presents!

I never thought of that! Will 'bare it' in mind for future reference when packing for a trip.

I'm no fashionista, but maybe break routine and consider wearing trousers on such days - you never know who's lurking...

I believe Willy Wanka's glass elevator goes.......UP! and is rumoured to be one of the finest erections in the Detroit area.

Och aye! Here's looking up your skirt....

Are you guys calling him Willy Wanka to be funny or don't you know how to
spell Wonka?  I wouldn't want to get in that elevator with any wanka.
no matter how many chocolate bars he was handing out!

I thought that's what patent leather shoes were for.
