No, it's ten years later, and it's ( Steely Dan DIA) an easy, fun, great song to play.Nothing sinister.

John, any chance of there ever being a Wetton/Manzanera II?

I wouldn't bet on it, j-ro, it's been years since we spoke, and we've lost touch completely.

"It's a bit too crisp for Bacon." by Johan,

I have not heard a rasher statement than that in a long time!

glad to hear it, you guys did a great job with it.

...speaking of getting together again, what do you expect to glean artistically from the rendezvous in Poland?

I believe I saw you play that same bass at the On-Air East show!  Am I mistaken?
Respectfully,

That's right,Dennis. I've used it on several recordings,too---it plays,and sounds, like a slightly sophisticated, long-scale, active,more controllable EB3.

Did you ever consider getting a band together with Phil Manzanera, John? I hear what you say about it all being so long ago - but back then it might have made for a good pre-Asia teaming perhaps?

PM and I worked on quite a few projects at that time, but never anything concrete.

Not to sound like a Gaucho' (hey 19) but it never fails to boggle my mind that the Sheriff never fails to praise the Steely's!!
And yes they are always worth a listen but at such opposite ends of the universe from his genre...
Like Macca praising Elvis, I guess
