I have the Japanese release with this track.  Very good, bluesy-type feel to it.  It sort of has a different feel than the rest of Omega, however it's a good song to track down.  Not sure if there are any sites where you can buy/download only the track.

Just got my copy of the import last Friday. Very bluesy for sure as everyone who has heard will say. It's a different sound for Asia, but a pretty darn fun tune to listen to.

Help, it's late, but play around with kingsrecords.co.jp. or amazon.co.jp.  Waster, that's what I remember, hopefully someone will fill in the blanks.

And to Sir Wetton, I wish I could hear the original version, the Pink Floyd style.  A someday request.

I got my copy from cdjapan.co.jp - very nice site and easy to order from. It's going to be pricey, no doubt about it. But if you're a Yes fan, they have the new remastered/expanded "Big Generator" that is not available in the states, so you might be able to combo the order and save a little on the shipping.

I went through amazon.com. Didn't mind paying a little extra $$. Maybe the royalty will get John a Toblerone bar, or a nice coffee

Check out the vocals, I love the warm, slightly distorted effect on the verses. Maybe John or Steve Rispin could shed some light on what they did to achieve that, perhaps an old-style analog mic preamp or something.

I believe it to be a sin, that it is Not on all versions. It deserves to be an equal on Omega. I can not imagine Omega without it ? Hopefully someday on future pressings (in the distant future of course), it will be included on all versions ?  It is #5, of My Omega Favorites.

Hmm,
Neumann U47fet, into a Neve 1073 preamp, into a Urei 1176 compressor, to ProTools.

This was the chain for the entire album, but with varying levels of drive from the preamp (and the vocalist!)

Oooh the temptation.. but no - must be good!

Love love love DAS. What kind of nonsense* left this off the main release?

*to understand the nuance behind this phrase you have to have lived in mid-Wales, c '79-83 & met a character called Edward (Eddie) Jessop - the last of the Empire's spawn.. He wrote a wonderful book 'Oppenheimer- A Study in Power' and came to the Uni where I was studying to learn Welsh, so he could write another on Llewellyn - Last Prince of the Welsh. To be with him in seminars discussing Post Colonial History was masterful - he was there at the time, & so used to decry most of the lecturers theories as 'nonsense' (pron 'nahn sense' - like Tony Benn would say it..) 'I was there, man, it was nothing like that (pron 'thea-t'. While most of us students would contentedly down cyder & such old Eddie would invite you back to his gaff for a G&T. Boy the man had style, god rest his soul.

they failed him in his first year...
