Johan, I'd like to ask about the track E-scape from Sinister/Welcome to Heaven. So melodic, so poetic, with very special spirits. Music of the night or twilight. To me - it was (and it is!) my own escape from reality, from age, from my life problems...So, the question, where is the idea and title of this music came from?.. Thank you.

It all started when I went to Wiltshire to record Robert Fripp's solo on the title track of 'Arkangel'.We had recorded the solo (thanks R),and were listening to some of Robert's 'Soundscapes'. He asked if I would like one,I said yes, please, and I took it home and put the keyboard part on. Ian McDonald came to stay,we went to Room with a View studio in Ringwood, new Forest--a very peaceful, almost sleepy studio, and Ian McDonald played the flute(thanks,Ian).
That's how it e-volved. Evolution +Soundscape=E-scape.

Yes, this is why I said before that a collaboration with Robert's 'scapes and Wetton's vocals, bass, keys, etc.. might make for a nice album.

I dare to refresh this 2 years old thread inspired by "Sinister" Inspirations subject. Beautiful track E-scape. One of my all time favorites. Very special feelings.

After reading the thread again I decided there could be Ian McDonald in there too.  And an album title for this project?  'Crim of the Crop'  Ok, maybe not the album title, but I will still lobby for the duo or trio collaboration for a whole album.
