I'm not keen on the words 'handle','Yoko' and 'parts' in the same sentence.

Ah, apparently you have seen the cover of Two Virgins after all. Wise move.

Since we are getting closer to Christmas....thought I'd resurrect this thread.  (No Yoko jokes....please! )

Anyways, I just downloaded John's wonderful rendition of Happy Christmas (War is Over), and he really seems to nail it so nicely! (There have been many covers over the years, and this is the only one besides Lennon's in my music library).

My question, John, is you've been paired up now a few times with Lennon's songs/vocals..........have you ever sung & recorded a "Paul" song???  (I almost put this query in the Beatles thread)....I just feel your vocals match better with Macca's

For the Beatles album, when Billy and I were first talking, I requested 'Lady Madonna', but ended up with 'All You Need'-----it depends a lot on what kind of record the company wants to make.
Sometimes I get what I ask for, sometimes not. My motivation for doing the Cleopatra records is not ego-driven.

Thanks!  Interesting........I would like to think the artist would "carry some weight" with their suggestion..........well, you bring a nice depth and richness to the Lennon songs you've recorded

It's on I-Tunes..................The album is called: "An All-Star Salute to Christmas" released on Oct. 1, 2009 on Purple Pyramid Records.

......should have mentioned the fine rendition by Geoff Downes of "Charlie Brown Christmas" is on there too.....the only two songs I bought...
