I have been resisting getting all giddy over Phoenix and its corresponding tour, but I can't help it.  I feel like it's Christmas Eve and I can't open my presents until Christmas Day!

I agree also, that's why I can't figure out for the life of me why people here are given the gift of seeing all of this before everyone else, and yet they criticize it. I find THAT disappointing. John is sharing these things with us, and people grumble...... disappointing.

MaryEllen, I totally concur. The words "gift horse in mouth" springs to mind.  I find it incredibly, horribly disappointing of people. It literally makes my stomach turn to read some of these entries, so I've stopped.

Another technical issue, in case the crits need to know, is that web art is only 72 dpi., whereas print is at LEAST 300 dpi. That can make a huge difference in how any final graphic image looks to the eye.  To those outside the graphics/art industry, you can find more info online.

I'm thrilled that Johan, Asia, and their management/record company have been so generous in giving us these tidbits...and I love every single pixel and meg of it.

I feel like I did when I was 5 and snuck out of bed late at night and saw my mom putting a bike under the tree for me. It was beautiful but I knew I couldn't ride it till morning. I don't think I slept at all that night? I just kept waiting for my mom to call me so I could run out and grab it.

I feel like a dog whose owner has a T-R-E-A-T for him and he is sitting there begging at his feet to release that treat!

Amie/Mary Ellen:

I couldn't agree more.

I had both the Asia site and John's site up at work and was playing the samples for some of my co-workers this morning.  Everyone who has heard them, really like what they are hearing.

I also had my sister listen to it and, in the past, she liked some of the songs, but not all of them.  However, when she listened to the samples, she really liked what she heard.

Personally, I think everyone is tired of the state of the current music scene (I know I am) and everything that is being pushed on radio, by the music channels and the record companies.  People want to hear good classic rock and this is exactly what they are getting with the new songs.

I'm counting the days to the release of "Phoenix" and the upcoming tour!  I think the guys have done an outstanding job!

Val et al.,

This may sound really silly, and granted I'm working late and getting (really) punchy, but this "ForestFM" is a tres fun little station, there's LOADS of variety music-wise, w/no commercials!  I've been streaming it via my computer all day, and heard some EXCELLENT stuff ("Never Again" included).

Most of it I've never heard in my life, and I'm truly diggin' it....no real crap, from what I've heard...but that's just me, of course...

Try a listen!

Marketing perhaps? You know Johan you're right. I almost wish I hadn't heard anything until I got the whole product. But since they're there it's kinda hard to resist.

Hi Mike! I do get it, as I have seen John and Asia, and I loved them ~ thanks! I'm not a puppet either, I'm not really thrilled to be called one, but anyway ~ the point I was trying to make was that it is a gift to be part of this guest book, and to have the ability for John to share his interviews, life's happenings, etc with us. Expressing ones' feelings is one thing, but to say hurtful things is another. I feel that John and the band as a whole doesn't HAVE to share their latest with anyone, and for people to be SO cutting to me is just wrong, the words are not put in a caring nature. Thanks for listening to my opinion!

Hi Amie:

Can you give me some information on how to find ForestFM on the computer and in the car?  Any chance to listen to something new and good on the radio for a change.

I usually have oldies and/or classic rock radio tuned in because most of the current stuff (with some exceptions) sounds "cookie cutter" to me (all the same without any distinction).  That is what makes "Never Again" so special, it has distinction and doesn't sound like everything else on the radio.
