Now most people have no idea w0t HOTM means... all of us know whats it means its short for Heat of The Moment probably one of the best songs ever written!!  .. now if U were to pronounce this it would be HO TM .. said like ths :HO (like ho ho ho Santa Clause) and TM (closest thing I can think that sounds like is Tim) .. So its like HO TIM..
Im thinking about getting a Dog and I want to name it HOTM .. thoughts...

if you're hell bent on naming your dog something Asiaesque, get a female dog and name her 'Aza'.

Pietro, You can name a female dog Asia.
Aza is not necessary.
Dogs and Dave McGrath can not spell!
Rob,loved your "Tokin" comment.

well Boz, i work with a guy who actually has a 3 year old daughter named Asia. i kid you not. i was wearing my Phoenix T and i had to ask her why her name was on my T shirt. all i got out of her was her asking me for candy. Asia is a Reese's freak.
that said my female dog would have been named Aza, but my daughter beat me to it. Oreo is her name and i am glad she does not have the name Aza. she is like a lab/terrier hippie. i think i can actually hear 'far out man' coming from her dog beak. sweet dog, but does not deserve an Asia moniker.

I had a dog that liked Asia (1992 - 2005, RIP).  She also liked Jane's Addiction.  Go figure.

Pete, Boz, I also have a friend who named her daughter Aja, but it was for the Steely Dan CD of the same name. Still, before I saw the spelling I thought it was pretty cool. She's in her mid 20s now.

My nearly 9 year old Natalie took Asia Alpha out of my cassette holder in my truck (that's all it plays) and started singing to it right away ~ guess I'm doing something right, eh?!

I remember Paul pointing people to a dance remix version of HOTM one time, so I went out on itunes to see if I could find "it".  What I found was many versions by different artists. I found this version by an artist named Matt the Electrician.  It sounds like he is getting closer to that orginal "country" version of HOTM.  If you have iTunes, click this link to listen: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?i=159820493&id=159820227&s=143441  (You might have to change to the US store on there too)

Ah,Paul/MK--not bad. The second guy sings the wrong lyric-- 'shone in your eyes',instead of the correct 'showed'. The first guy was using the autotune setting that features on lots of urban recordings, but was first popularized by Cher on 'Believe'.
