Odd music story folks, and true! A new promotional idea that hopefully won't cross the pond from Irish hands to the "Guys" at  EMI/US.  Check this out....yet another reason to be wary of shaking hands at festivals....

Yeah, Johan, be wary when any unsuspecting fan runs up to you and wants to shake your hand and tries to convince you that his hands are slimey because he just doused them in hand sanitizer. Ick!

Believe or not, when I was in college, a friend of mine donated blood to get tickets to a Lynard Skynard show in Dallas/FW.  He invited me to go along, so I did.  For the life of me, I cannot imagine they got much "untainted" blood from this crowd.  Within five minutes of LS taking the stage, a cloud of the "expensive stuff" hovered above the audience and remained there all night.  The woman next to me was getting out her needles and "rolled cigarettes"  Come to think about it, I remember a young boy running around in the crowd with his parentals yelling "Sammy, get back here!"  Hmmmm.....

YIKES, Amie! I'm part Irish, and that's just embarrassing! For tickets? Could you imagine a conversation with one of these guys? " Yeah, I got free tix to the show just for...." EW!

Wankers, yankers, absolutely!  MK, was young SoftCell Sammy singin "Tainted Blood...?"  Oooohhhhh....yuk, so bad, I know.

MaryEllen, yes, I know, I gotta admit -- I'm a 'McSpic' by birth (75/25 Irish/Latina), so I feel your pain (or, erm...???).  But, it is kinda funny in a gross way.

OMG, Johan, I am soooooo not going to ask about my friend Deb's son's pretty young Kindergarten teacher who said she had a 'backstage pass' in Mason, OH. She seemed to have such a good head on her, erm, shoulders...

Amie, I like the way you think!

I forgot to mention that Petew was at the Skynard show too!  He kept yelling "Freebird!" and the band obliged him towards the end of the show.  It was because of this one time that now Petew thinks every band will play Freebird as long as he requests.
