i just wanted to thank asia for an incredible show last thursday at j and r music. it was an absolute thrill to see them in such a small and intimate place. the funniest thing happened that i gotta share. during an extrordinary life a customer came into the store to...buy a cd, and i was in the way. but when johan and i caught each others eye... pure magic.

i was a little bumbed they didn't do fanfare for the common man.

I was there and I think very close to you because that guy who was actually trying to shop got in my way as well.  Silly man.  I nearly gave him a talking to since he was six feet tall or so, and I a mere five.  Don't get between me and the band!

It was a wonderful performance, if brief, and great to say "hi" directly one more time!

Me too. I made two trips up to the table as I bought 4 CD's to be signed for my kids and myself. They were only signing two items hence the two trips. Paul S. was a task master keeping us honest with what was to be signed. However, if it came right down to it, I think I could take him in a scrap! Johan saw me, I'm a pretty big bloke.  And I got one of my Phoenix posters signed as well which is being framed w/ a nice spot picked out on my office wall.

Was it me or is Kenny D. from Q104 beginning to look like Dr. Johnny Fever from WKRP in Cincinnati? Come on, you know I'm right!

Hey, I was there!   ...in the front of the back of the middle column (if that makes sense) for the show, then went outside to get on line.   Loved the acoustic set!   I posted before about it - that HOTM is sooo good.

Waiting for the show I met a nice young man who was obviously a SH fan and excited about going to Englewood that night.  I was going to tell him all about Red Bank (because as you know, they were ON FIRE!!) but he wanted to be completely surprised.

Then some handsome stranger comes over and starts chatting me up.  He hadn't gone to any shows, apparently wasn't going to, didn't speak kindly about our boys, but yet tried his suit-and-tie best to impress me with his gigantic appreciation of all progressive rock.  I think he actually took off during the performance.   But then he got online for the signing.  My thoughts during all of this went from the insecure "why would you want to talk to me?" to the incredulous "why are you here?"   Dazzling blue eyes but what a sad story.

All that was quickly forgotten -- nervous wreck for the signing.  I tried my best to be sweet and engaging, but once I got to Johan and I had to tell him it's "QP" not "Q-pie".. well.. stomach flutters all the way home.

Oh, it's not fun being on the east coast now!  There was so much love, but so little time.
