I've been listening to the radio stream of Never Again and i've been delighted. It is a wonderful song, and that opening guitar riff... wow, i nearly found myself in '82...

Now, how sweet would it be if you could post on your site (or on MySpace) a few demos for the forthcoming Phoenix album? I mean, not just short demonstration samplers from the actual cd, but some full lenght demo recordings.

I know i'm asking so much, but that wouldn't interfere with the cd sales as everybody here will buy the cd the first day (i plan ordering a copy from Japan in addiction to the regular italian version which i will find in the shops), and at the same time it will give us something unique, somehting to keep jealously, a sort of family treasure which will always be in our souls and which will remind of this fabulous period that has seen Asia return making music together again better than ever.

Cheers, Alessandro

What you will get on the Japanese version, Squonky--is an acoustic version of 'I Will Remember You", I believe, which is to die for. The italian version has a different bonus track, allegedly. Any 'demos' are absolutely ghastly.

Will there be a one stop shop for us Die Hards to pick up all the variations of the Phoenix,
as I'm still in search of the Hi Definition DVD FANTASIA concert.......(Blue ray or HDDVD format's)

Thanks for the heads up on the different versions!

I have 4 copies of each of first three Asia (sorry Steve!) albums (vinyl, cassette, CD & Japanese mini sleeve). So getting three versions of Phoenix sounds about right!

Thanks Asia.

Great John, that's what i was hoping for. Can you tell me if there will be issued some other versions from any other country with different bonus tracks included?
Like Elstree, i too own multiple editions of all Asia releases, and this forthcoming one will make no excepton.
My most treasured editions are the first Japan CD pressings of both Asia and Alpha (catalog # 35DP 25 and 35DP 80), which are very difficult to find, Alpha showing a wonderful back tray cover totally different from the regular edition.
Another one very dear to me is another CD issue of Alpha released in UK in 1983 (catalog # GFLD 19053) which includes Daylight as a bonus track, but it isn't indicated on the booklet tracklisting nor the cd label itself!!
Last year's Fantasia Live In Tokyo japanese edition was delivered to me with a wondeful color poster. In Japan every new release is always something special.

Is a CD single from Phoenix (maybe Never Again?) going to be released as well?

Thanks, Alessandro

Dave,

Where did you hear "Never Again?" I'll take even 20 seconds. 25 years is a long time to wait...can't take the suspense!

To listen to Never Again

Quoting Elstree from another topic:
go here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/mainframe.shtml?http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/merseyside.shtml

Go to "on the beat" (8th show down)

Then press the play button on top to skip ahead to about 40 minutes (actually 42:10) in and there is the song.
