McCain just did a fundraiser here in Buffalo to the tune of over a million dollars. He was barely here 4 hours, talk about piracy!

I remember back in '82 JCM was adamant that his album of that year had outsold 'ASIA' as the highest selling album.except silver Mr Melloncamp.

Who knows?  But they were both great soundtracks to my teenage years.

'ASIA' is in Billboard every year as best-selling Pop album of 1982 .
What's the problem?

American Fool can't touch Asia. They owned 1982 and should have won a Grammy for their effort! The real fans know this....But as I keep saying over and over again...we are so blessed to have them back and active again!  A musical dream come true.  Bravo gentlemen!

It was Asia, no doubt. Gee Johnny Mellenhead b----ing and moaning about a supposed injustice to him, that's a surprise. He should get that little monkey of a keyboard player back with him from the John Punter years. Maybe that reunion will spark some record sales for the old smokestack.

No problem, they were just both albums I enjoyed a lot back in HS.  If Mellencamp outsold Asia after October, so be it.

But Asia is and deserves to be on top.  I've enjoyed it regularly through the years since then.  Can't say the same for the Johnny Cougar album.  But I do dig it out once or twice a year to enjoy a couple of songs.

Can't say I've really enjoyed too much Mellencamp after the Scarecrow album.
