Yea April exactly.  That's why I said if the radar was programmed into the car system I would have heard it! LOL!

I was so wired after the Niagara Falls concert ('06) that I had the 'pedal to the metal' so to speak on the way home. My sister caught me once, but then we were so busy singing along to the Asia in the speakers that we quit paying attention. Got the ticket a block from home. Darn those holiday weekends!

Think we've found a new Phenomena?

I guess thats better than getting up behind a car with someone talking on cellphone and not paying attention to the fact that the light is green.

Speeding tickets embarrass me. I wouldn't publicly admit that I ever got one.

I know we're a bit behind the times here in the Old Country, but don't you have Bluetooth in the US? No-one seems to use the friggin' things. I use mine all the time,
lots of people use them here. They are safe as houses, and the sound quality is better than the fone. If you use a hand-held at night time, you light up the entire freeway----- Mr.Smokester can see you a mile away.

Bluetooth is common here, but at this point it is not illegal to use your cell phone while driving in most states. That is slowly changing. California goes hands-free next July.

I have one Bluetooth headset at work, another at home ... love 'em.  What I want now is a GPS that is Bluetooth-capable, but they're still a bit pricey.

DC is hands-free; Maryland isn't yet but they will be as of Jan 1, I believe.  Virginia?  It's probably hands-free there too, since they're the only one of the 3 that also outlaws radar detectors.  Like Pennsylvania, if it's not illegal it's taxed.

My phone has Bluetooth & something called infrared.

Does anyone know the answer, how do these things work?
All I know is I turned Bluetooth on durring ice out last week so I could chat with Bozzy about it all.

Does it play through the car stereo?

Bluetooth is a technology that allows you to transmit your phone calls through another device like an earpiece or a speaker, allowing you to use your phone hands-free.  The most common devices are earpieces, and you have to program your phone to recognize the device.  The bluetooth headsets come with instructions.  Some GPS units also transmit your phone calls using Bluetooth technology and a speaker.  Some cars come equipped with them too.

I know I am replying to an old thread but something similar happened with my little brother. He not only got a speeding ticket but DUI charge too. Now hiring a DUI lawyer as he was never over the limit. Moreover, he was caught at first place due to his speed!
