I'm hooked on the chicken bowls and guacamole, yummmm. I think they started or are headquartered in Denver...and one thing we need in Colorado is a Trader Joes....CT, that store is awesome .

Agreed, Gina--CP and myself went into a Chipotle  on the road last year, it was a marvel. Trader Joe's is  a wonderland.  There's one right near where I used to live in CA. Trader Vic's, on the other hand, is to be avoided at all costs.

John, glad to hear you are part of the Chipotle club.  Some people love it and some don't get the appeal.  It is indeeed good.  Best soft tacos ever and very, very fresh.

If you haven't already, try the carnitas.  Out of this world.

I can understand why you'd avoid Trader Vic's, but I *still* remember the smoked lobster I had there about 10 years ago. Yum!

My husband has been raving about Chipotle ever since he started eating at them while in Phoenix.  We finally got one near us and now I get it.  We go there often.

Gina, I am amazed you don't have Trader Joe's in CO! I'd think someplace like Boulder would have several!  They opened a second one near us and this one actually has a big enough parking lot. The other one was always packed.

And that is the end of my "stores that recently opened near Elstree" post.

The only thing we didn't like about our new house's location is that it's further away from a Chipotle.  Last weekend we saw a sign go up at the main intersection in Olney, MD ... Chipotle!  AND Five Guys!  Nirvana.

We aren't walking distance to a Trader Joe's anymore either, but there's one near my office so it's on the way home from work.  They have the best peach salsa anywhere, and it's less than $3/jar.  Low fat/low-cal -- less than 200 calories in the whole container.  Put it over vanilla frozen yogurt ..... DEADLY.

Have you had Chipotle's salad dressing?  MMMMM.

I must seek out this Chipotle!  Sounds like a great place to spend any fast food capital I might have!

Edit:  Oh good heavens!  There are 2 right in metro NashVegas!  If I am not around for a few days, you'll know why now...    But ooooo, looks they might be competition for a Nashville favorite:  Baja Burrito and it's franchised little brother Blue Coast Burrito.    We will see who wins...

I haven't gone to Chipotle for awhile, because it's always so crowded.  They have a damn good burrito bowl!

And Trader Joes' peanut butter cups are way better than Reese's, in my opinion.  I think the people in my office here will agree.  T.J.'s citrus-glazed chicken frozen entree has become a recent weekend lunch fave of mine.

When you get down to it, Emily is a song about unattainable love whether she is on the other team or out of your league all together.  At least that's my view and I'm sticking to it.

Quite right, MK---a bit of fun, that's all.
In the song, I'm laughing at myself more than anything.

Love it! And the reverse is the joy when the seemingly unattainable is attained--which is how I feel about my bride of 24 years!

That's the impression I got also ... and great fun having a spot of wry "GB" light heartedness accompanying proceedings too ... can almost see the lightbulb pinging over people's heads when they twig what the song is about !

I sought out Chipotle for lunch the other day and I must say I did enjoy it!  But for my money, Blue Coast Burrito (or Baja Burrito) in Nashville wins (http://www.bluecoastburrito.com/).  The selection, the taste, the atmosphere, the fruit tea, the salsa bar makes for a better, more satisfying burrito experience at Blue Coast.  Not to say Chipotle is bad.  I like it...a lot!  But Blue Coast is better IMHO.  So John and GB'ers alike, next time you are in or near Nashville (many locations around in TN and AR), check them out!  I would say it is worth ASIA making a tour stop in Nashville just to check this out.
