I don't remember who did the song, but -- I LOVE MY CAR!!!

Little RAV did me proud today. I crammed a 6' folding table (folded), 6 chairs (stack-able but not fold-able), a power drill, wrench and ratchet set, $300 in groceries, 3 bundles of wood for the firepit, a cake (spider with 12" licorice legs), 30 cupcakes (some munchkins have never seen a cupcake tree), a frightfully breakable Halloween tray, and a beautiful floral arrangement (didn't spill a drop), in her...while listening to Mark Knophler whisper "I work the rowdies and day trippers...." in my ear while I did an exquisite job of playing air drums on the steering wheel...and she is low slung enough I can load and unload it alone... and I had to hold on to the reins to keep her under 75mph!

What more does a woman need?

Actually, I do believe that Knophler is the Russian spelling of the name, considering our recent discovery of his striking resemblance to Putin...

I have a car dilemma.  My hardy little white '94 Sentra has 182K miles on it, paint's peeling on the doors, and it's seen better days ... but I can't bear to part with it because of the memories it holds.  I at least have to save the passenger seat, it's held some of my favorite ... people.  What to do, what to do ... ?

Denise, I appreciate the offer, but Little Rav isn't 6 months old yet.

Born in Duluth, raised in Hibbing (much smaller and also the birht place of Kevin McHale)

sorry to be nit-picky but having lived in Minnesota since 1973, we get a little bit that way

April, I know what you mean.

I wish I would have kept the seat from my Camaro after prom night. Janine was fantastic!

So what kind of memories did you make?

Bless the automotive industry!

I felt the same about my 94 Pontiac Sunbird.
Then I went to the car lot and got my cruiser.

I have lots of memories of my old car,but I'd like to forget about them and move on.

John Un de mes souvenirs conduisait ivre mon frère et ses amis autour de tous les bars, ce qui est quelque chose que je ne fais pas plus et jamais sur le plan de fait nouveau.

Beaucoup d'amour à vous

"I'm in Love With My Car" was by Queen, back in the earlier days.  I did get to see Freddie Mercury in concert back then -- absolutely unforgettable in the best of ways.  He was just amazing.  One of the great performances of my life.

It was a Roger Taylor tune,if my memory serves. An Aston Martin, I think, was the object of his desire.

I can certainly understand having an Aston Martin fetish.  There's one parked in the lot of my oral surgeon every time I visit (which is far too much lately, damn aging teeth), it's a gorgeous eggplant or aubergine with camel leather upholstery, even the dashboard.  It's truly a thing of beauty.  No doubt it's more than my yearly salary.  On the TV show 'Las Vegas', they gave away 15 pickup trucks for what one Aston Martin cost.

I'm not going to be drawn on your choice of dangerous words in consecutive sentences,April, but a new A.M. will set Danny Craig back $300K. If he didn't already get a free one, that is.
