I was wondering why I didn't see any mention of talk about the North American Tour.  Maybe this was the only venue announced so far.

Maybe John can shed some light but here are the details,

Saw this on the band's facebook page this morning:

"Keep your calendars open at 2pm EST 4/22. More info to come."

Maybe info about a US tour?

There will be an extensive tour in October, but the agency is waiting to announce all dates together. Some venues have already jumped the gun. I'll be glad if Ram's Head sells quickly, because we will do another night, and I like Annapolis very much.

John

From what I can tell and based on the day I got my tix, there are only a few seats left for that night so I would say a second show was a safe bet. Can't wait to finally see you and the band for the first time.

Scott.

I called Rams Head and there are only 63 seats remaining.  In line with the title of this thread I shall request you come to the south as well, Southern California that is.  I don't want to steal the thunder of any official announcement but if you can let me know if you might make it out my way or if I should plan to travel east of the Mississippi river, that would be helpful.  Thank you!

Ahhh... "buzz!!!"

That is more like it. The "machine" is oiled, the gears are again spinning in motion - and very soon, an *ITINERARY*; for the /ASIA\ GRAVITAS North American tour.

"Val-ky-rieeeeeeee, -eeeee...!"

Yes! This is already great news. The state of Florida is collectively rubbing our hands in excited, anxious PRAYER...

This made my day. I feel like a kid again! John's shows always give me that palpable "teenage rush"...

The Sunrise Theatre in Ft Pierce would also be a great venue for this GREAT band.

Zuzana V---we have to re-think Europe. I believe it will happen, but at the time we wanted to play, we could not make it work. Keep the faith!

Agreed!!

In fact - /ASIA\ *already* played this historic Treasure Coast venue once before! (Father's Day weekend, June 2007). It was the "XXV" reunion tour - and a BRILLIANT night of music. (The acoustics at the Sunrise are *fantastic*!)

Just curious if there will be meet and greet packages or special seating up front...especially before I purchase tickets. Will that option be available to the US fans this tour good sir? Thanks!

Fort Pierce is fine with me as well.  I was also there in 2007 - Didn't they play the entire first album in entirety, also in original sequence?  Plus Daylight?  Very happy day indeed.

I also believe that I also saw Rush in South Florida the day before IIRC...?

So John, are you feeling us down here???  (Insert joke at your own peril...)

irongoalie,

Hi there, fellow South Florida fan! Its cool to talk to another attendee from that show. The Sunrise Theater was terrific.

Do you remember John that night, animatedly talking about going out on a boat earlier that day and catching a little too much of the Florida sun while on the ocean? That was pretty cool. I always enjoy - in any form - a little "local banter" that connects an artist with us fans - and John's remark got a lot of smiles and bobbing heads of approval.

As far as the Fort Pierce set list: The entire 1982 ASIA debut album *WAS* played in its entirety (as it was for most "XXV" shows in 2006 & 2007) - but the sequence was changed up. "Time Again" opened up the show - man, what a corker! So great to open a show with! And the B-side / rarity pulled up was an acoustic rendition of the excellent "RIDE EASY".

(For you other Florida fans... if you haven't caught it here before - John Wetton actually conceived "RIDE EASY" right here in nearby MIAMI, FLORIDA!! (While recording w/ Wishbone Ash, if memory serves, at the legendary CRITERIA STUDIOS...)
