Hi Johan. I think we were all wondering who is the producer/engineer for PHOENIX? Mike Stone god bless him did some incredible work on ASIA and ALPHA and with Whitesnake and Journey and is greatly missed. Are you guys self producing? I think Carl did a great job producing 3 to the power of three.

I know nothing of producing except what I have heard around the guestbook from time to time...Johan, will the loss of Mr. Stone change the intricacy of your vocals?  I guess my question is, even though he held no instument, how much of Asia was Mr. Stone?

No need to speak for me because I haven't been wondering about the producer or the engineer. I'm just happy these four men are working together on new music.  I trust they're able to choose the right producer and engineer for their needs.

The iCon vocals sound wonderful, often with many layers of harmony. I'd expect that to bode well for Phoenix.

No worry here that it's going to be anything but fantastic. I'm just one of those weird eggs that finds this stuff interesting.

No-one could ever replace Mike Stone---we produced 'Phoenix' ourselves,
with recording ably engineered by Steve Rispin. Mike was there in spirit---of that I'm absolutely certain. You be the judge of how well we did.It is often said that a producer can only enhance the raw material. However,in Mike's case,he did more, much more than that.

Can't wait! Individually you have had the 20+ years since to advance your own production skills, as witnessed by how great your solo material sounds...I am sure Phoenix is going to be tremendous.

Again I don't think I have any worries at all that I'm going to love it. And really thank you all for giving us this gift.  I loved what Carl had to say about the recording process starting and ending on a big high. It really sounds like you 4 had fun making this music. I think if you're not having fun it shows in the music? Great great success with putting this shiny new car on the road. Can't wait to hear it here in Dallas.
