There are songs that are buried somewhere and seriously risk to be forgotten even by their authors... fortunately sometimes someone brings back to life some gems and give to the world a true gift: The good ship enterprise is a song so full of desperate passion... a melody that gives shivers... thanks God that John donated us this beauty!

Didn't certain elements of that song crop up in "Go" from Astra?

there was ca. 15 years ago a website called "The making of Asia Website" from where you could hear or download certain demos. One demo was called "GO Comparison", it is a mixture of GO and another song, which has certain elements of GO. After 15 years this mystery is solved: it is The good ship enterprise. When it comes to the Go-like part in The good ship enterprise, suddenly Go starts....seems somebody made a mix of both songs...
Thanks for making me aware of this song. I always thought that it was a real Go demo, seems it was written years before......fantastic song...the mood reminds me to real Asia from the 80ties....what a good start for the 30 anniversary year for Astra..

Here's a version from youtube:

Around 1 minute in is the part that was later developed for "Go". As for "Go" that section leading up to Mandy Meyer's guitar break is just so freakin' epic....one of my favorite moments on any Asia record.
