I saw TSO for the first time last year-I had absolutely no idea what to expect, I really wasn't familiar with them at all but my husband's boss had given us tickets to the show. It was fantastic! Jon Anderson was the special guest when we saw them and he sang Roundabout. Not knowing anything about TSO, I also didn't know about the special guests, so I was ecstatic when Jon came out. The music, the light show ... all of TSO's show was wonderful. Go see it, you won't regret it.

I have all of T.S.O.'s albums so far, and I got around to seeing them last year.  Luv the rockin' Xmas tunes, and it was great to see the show spectacle.  They really have great musicians.  My friends that I went with liked the second half of the show better than the first half--they were bored and annoyed by the narrator/storyteller.  Bah on them--I thought he added to the show.

Oh yeah, and another holiday music must-have is what has been mentioned before--the Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack (the show itself doesn't hurt, either!)  Classic!!!

I just had one of those moments.

I first heard that song years ago when a friend's husband was playing it LOUDLY in their house. I asked who that was and he told me Savatage. I just heard the TSO version and thought that sounded awfully familiar. I had no idea until now that TSO included members of Savatage.

TSO was here this past weekend, and also played the same night somewhere in California. Good review, but - apparently they have a different band for each half of the country. Don't they have official band members who'd have to divide up? The article inferred it was more than just the backing musicians. I always wanted to teleport to work (a long drive), but I draw the line at cloning.

Also, back to Christmas albums - forgot another favorite, Kathy Mattea's Good News.

Chris Caffery, Alex Skolnick and Jeff Plate generally do the Right Coast, with others in the band doing the Left Coast.  If you didn't know that, their tour schedule would look truly bizarre!  Oh look, they're playing Philadelphia and Reno  ... on the same night!

Some kind of a video for "Wizards in winter" from TSO...

Some people have way too much time on their hands, but it is impressive to watch.
