Hi Elstree! I have been checking the Ridgefield website EVERY DAY! And then today THERE IT WAS! I got the tix today, because should it be OFFICIALLY announced, The Playhouse will sell out like wild fire! If the show gets cancelled (PLEASE no!) I will get a refund ~ just covering our butts! Hopefully looking forward to seeing you again, Johan! She's got high hopes... !

Newfish is on the right track here.

We should all just be happy that Johan is well enough to tour.

Obviously shows aren't booked according to the guest book "whine-o-meter."  Common sense dictates that shows are booked according to demand.

Sit back, relax, and wait for the official list of dates on here.

I think we all wish Johan great health.  Heck, we should all chip in and buy him the extended warranty.

I hope I'm not stepping on any GB toes by posting this prior to the official release of the tour dates, but there are dates that are already on sale and others that will be soon. So if it is ok, can we use this thread to list what we hear so people have a heads up?

I know the VA/CT date conflict has already come up and the date in Red Bank NJ has been mentioned before. But beyond that a few more dates have popped up.

According to TM there is a show in Collingswood, NJ that is already on sale and another in Verona, NY that will be on sale on Friday.

On Pollstar there is a date listed in Peekskill, NY that is already on sale.

Again, I apologize if this kind of thing should be kept off the GB, but I just don't want people to be caught unaware.

Hey Clarkie,  what has William Tell got to do with Asia tour dates?

Believe what you wish, but it IS based on demand. My brother in law used to book acts for universities in the southeast. He had to be sure a certain amount of tickets would be sold before he could proceed with anyone. My guess is that's pretty much the standard.

Asia always was more popular on the coasts, so it makes sense that we're hearing about tour dates in NY and NJ already.

Makes sense, Aysha.  Touring costs and so does living, so a band cannot afford to go in the "red" at least not too many times.  I think playing a city where you go into the red is called "charity".  Let us not forget that musicians, stage hands, techs, promoters, ect...all need to make money.  This is their livelihood.   They have car payments, house payments, CC bills, ect.... not to mention they need to eat, just like the rest of us.

Hey, I'm gonna whine anyway!  And I prefer bread instead of cheese with my "whine", thank you very much!

Anyways, I hope that the west coast of North America (can't exclude ASIACAL! ) gets ASIA first, and some extra dates thrown in for good measure, in April.  We want our chance to see them, too!

Thx ROA - of course I would be very grateful if Calgary were rescheduled...April would be better attended in Calgary as on summer weekends, people tend to disappear to camp sites.

If Johan and the guys are playing, I will be paying  whether that needs plane tix or not. I'm going to see them play as much as I can afford...2-5 shows at least. The shows are very reasonable...it's the hotel and plane fares that are big.

Hey I will still go to other places to see Asia, but this whole thing of no interest from Oklahoma,Texas,Kansas or freaking Arkansas is a load of crap to me.

When these bookers call promotors do the tell let's say the promotor of the Brady Theater in Tulsa, that this is the real ASIA featuring John Wetton,Geoff Downes,Carl Palmer & Steve Howe?

Cause maybe these venues are afraid they might be that other band that sucks.

Common, maybe I should be the guy hounding these local promotors and tell them this is the real band, there back and will rock Tulsa,Oklahoma City,Dallas,Houston,Kansas City etc etc.

I'm not giving up my hopes for Asia here.

Here I'll even give you contact information for this place below.

Happy to live in the ole tri-state area aka Asia Central. Will make sure to get tix for a couple of shows. Honestly, just hoping that John continues to mend and takes his time. I know deadlines are a part of any business but I hope the lads take their time, make a great collection of works and tour when able.
