Two questions for you, Johan: You're the first musician I've ever known (and I've known many) to assert that a song without vocals is not a song.  Do you simply refer to it as an instrumental, then?  I'm very curious about this assessment because if I'm missing something integral and important about the process of writing, playing and producing music, then I want to know what it is.  Here's a valid example from my own historical annals: I still remember when I was in the throes of taking my first year of guitar lessons many moons ago, and my teacher and I collaborated on a song...and it didn't include lyrics/singing.  Yet we still referred to it as a song.

(Honestly and hand on heart, I'm not being cheeky!  I have a natural thirst for this kind of data.)

Secondly, I can't claim to know every song or album of your vast catalogue (I'm gettin' there, I'm gettin' there) but I'm also inquisitive about your connection to Narada Michael Walden as he knew and played with Tommy Bolin as well.  Yes, I'm aware that he's played with a wealth of people but I'm interested in your artistic relationship with him.  He's a talented guy.

EDIT: I'm listening to my air purifier right now.

I have IRON MAIDEN on my mind at the moment, because I just registered for their fanclub in order to get pre-sale tickets when they go on sale!

It's gonna be a rockin' May '08 for me--leading off with ASIA & ending with Iron Maiden.     Talk about extremes!

They are playing Rocklahoma this year as well as about 50 other bands or more. Rocklahoma is like Woodstock for late 80's Hairbands.

You all should come down here July 10th - 13th, if you like to get your head banging on.

Any idea who else will be there? The site says they won't announce the full lineup until early next month.

I'm listening to L7's Bricks Are Heavy CD.  It's good for venting steam, and the ironing is finished a lot more quickly, too.

well... I listened to Pete W. and his family and I'm n0w a tr00 Jonas Brothers phan..

OMG Jonas Bros. rock so hard core.. "When You Look Me In The Eyes" might be one of the best songs I have ever heard.. Could have come off as a stong country song but it really is more a rock ballad.. I just love the production of their album and its solid... If you havent listened to The Jonas Brothers give them a chance..

I have a few other new artists to recommend.. lata phans..

AsiA 0wns as always!!
